Building a Bridge Between Mother Nature and Humanity via a world-first AI-powered installation
BACKGROUND
The 2023 COP28 UN Climate Change Conference was poised to be positioned as a critical moment in global transformative climate action change, where the world’s leaders and public would have the rare opportunity to come together – to share their voice, align on actions, and take the next steps to create unified change.
COP28 tasked us to create an activation that would inspire unified change and collective action towards an ever-growing climate-change catastrophe.

OPPORTUNITY
We encouraged World Leaders, delegates and the general public to sign a digital pledge to do their part towards a better tomorrow whilst capturing, then transforming, the energy and power of the iconic Ghaf tree via AI technology, symbolizing its enduring spirit and vital role in arid ecosystems, ultimately acting as a voice for nature and the planet.
The Tree of Life had four goals:
- Educate COP28 participants about the impact of climate change
- Encourage interest in, and attention on climate change
- Cultivate a close-knit community of like-minded actionists
- Drive talkability, shareability, and action
In a world-first experience, participants at COP28 could have an interactive conversation with Mother Nature. The giant 4-meter-tall installation of the Tree of Life was created with a unique AI-driven digital language, enabling it to respond to delegates and the public in real-time, creating a voice and face for the environment and humankind. Attendees were given the opportunity to pledge their small commitments, which were transformed into unique AI-curated artworks – for small commitments collaboratively equal to impactful change.
If you like the work, sharing it would be deeply appreciated.
